I have finally arrived in Lima. Took a massive 24 hours worth of travel - my bum is still numb from sitting down for so long.
The skycam on the Airbus did it make takeoff and landing much more fun though (and slightly motion sick) - Grandfather you would love this - it's a camera up in the tail of the plane that they let you watch the footage of as you're flying along. As did spying on a minor celebrity (whose name I can't remember) from Getaway, who was sitting just a few rows infront.
Would have to say that LAX airport is worst airport ever! It is mid construction and there are cables dangling everywhere from the ceiling. Our baggage transfer counter was mid construction site. We watched our bags disappear through the middle of it - through the doors that said (in permanent marker) 'danger do not enter construction sight.' We were an hour late leaving Sydney so we had to rush through to the next gate and on to Lima.
We've had a bit of an explore of Lima - nothing much around. Though we did find a very nice supermarket.
